I remember meeting David Choe at San Diego Comic Con, what must be something like 10 years ago. I believe he was promoting his graphic novels at that time. Eric Nakamua of Giant Robot introduced me as Choe has been a regular contributor to Giant Robot magazine, and I have been a fan of his work and loosely followed his career ever since. This month David is on the cover of Juxtapoz Magazine (excuse me he has 5 different covers) and had a huge solo show open up in Beverly Hills, last night, which I was fortunate to attend. Steve Lazarides, the same british art promotor who brought Banksy here to us in 2006, has taken over an 8,000 sq foot venue to host Choe's solo show titled "Nothing To Declare".

It was super exciting for me to meet Elliot Roberts, the music manager best known for helping start the careers of Neil Young and Joni Mitchell, who is photographed below here with his purchase and Tegan Quin of Tegan and Sara (who he also signed back in 1999).
Elliot's son Zack is also an art collector and here he is with his new investment:
It was great seeing David again and if you happen to be in the 90210 and want to do some shopping I highly recommend going by:
